Sreedevi Vayalapalli, MD

Dr. Vayalapalli received her medical education at Osmania Medical College, India. She completed psychiatric residency at University of Missouri at Kansas City, Missouri and her addiction psychiatry fellowship at Emory University, Georgia.
Dr. Vayalapalli has worked as an addiction psychiatrist at the Substance abuse treatment program, at the Atlanta VA medical center for 5 years and was actively involved in teaching and research. She has multiple publications in Buprenorphine maintenance treatment at the Veterans Administration Atlanta (VA-Atlanta) Substance abuse treatment center. She is as an Assistant Professor at Emory University. She is currently the medical director of the Care Psychiatry. Dr. Vayalapalli was awarded “Excellence in Psychotherapy award” and served as a chief resident during her general psychiatry residency. She received the NIDA-T32 training stipend, travel scholarship through the American academy of addiction psychiatry, and APA/SAMHSA Minority fellowship award during her addiction psychiatry residency. She is a member of Professional Advisory Board at Skyland Trail. Dr. Vayalapalli is board certified in addiction and adult psychiatry. She is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and has memberships in Indo-APA, Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association, American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage.
